New Suit

Wells Fargo was sued on March 27 in California Northern District Court over alleged violations of the Fair Housing Act. The court action, filed by Ben Crump Law on behalf of Shaia Beckwith Simmons, accuses the defendant of discriminating against Black home loan applicants and home mortgage borrowers by denying credit or charging higher interest rates and fees, as well as offering worse terms to Black applicants, in a practice known as 'reverse redlining.' The case is 4:24-cv-01889, Simmons v. Wells Fargo Bank NA.
