Canadian Solar, a solar panel manufacturer, was named in a patent infringement lawsuit on March 25 in Texas Eastern District Court. The suit, brought by Vinson & Elkins on behalf of Maxeon Solar Pte. Ltd., asserts two patents related to solar cells with formed emitters. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2:24-cv-00210, Maxeon Solar Pte. Ltd. v. Canadian Solar, Inc.
