Weingartz Tree Service was hit with a breach-of-contract lawsuit on March 8 in Michigan Eastern District Court. The court action, brought by Plunkett Cooney on behalf of PNC Bank, seeks to recover more than $202,000 in principal plus accrued interest from the defendant based on an alleged loan default; the suit further seeks replevin of equipment pledged as collateral. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2:24-cv-10589, PNC Bank, National Association, successor by merger to PNC Equipment Finance, LLC v. Weingartz Tree Service.
