Lime, the bike and scooter sharing service, was hit with a consumer class action on March 1 in California Northern District Court for alleged violations of the Electronic Funds Transfer Act. The suit, filed by the Law Offices of Todd M. Friedman, accuses the defendant of debiting checking accounts for various charges, including a $6.60 monthly membership fee, without disclosing the fees and without authorization. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 3:24-cv-01259, Murrin v. Neutron Holdings, Inc.
