New Suit - Privacy Class Action

Major League Baseball was hit with a digital privacy class action on Feb. 26 in New York Southern District Court over alleged violations of the Video Privacy Protection Act. The suit, brought by Shamis & Gentile and Edelsberg Law, accuses the defendant of disclosing MLB.tv subscribers' identities and video-viewing history to Facebook. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:24-cv-01446, Henry v. Major League Baseball Advanced Media LP.
