Mercedes-Benz Group, was hit with a consumer class action on Feb. 9 in Georgia Northern District Court on behalf of the owners and lessees of vehicles equipped with interior veneer wood trim. The suit claims that the trim, used in vehicles with model years 2013 through 2022, is defective and prone to cracking, impacting the cars' resale and buyback value. The suit is backed by Tycko & Zavareei, Timothy Knox LLP and Frederick Law Group. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:24-cv-00608, Monilaw v. Mercedes Benz Group AG.
