Amazon.com was named in an employment discrimination class action on Jan. 11 in New Jersey District Court for alleged violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act. The suit, filed by Castronovo & McKinney, contends that Amazon wrongfully terminates employees for using approved medical leave. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2:24-cv-00188, Mangar v. Amazon.com, Services, LLC.
