Novo Nordisk was slapped with a product liability lawsuit on Jan. 9 in Idaho District Court over its weight loss drug Ozempic. The complaint, brought on behalf of a 60-year-old who contends that she developed gastroparesis as a result of using Ozempic, is part of a wave of cases accusing Novo Nordisk of downplaying the risk of serious side effects caused by Ozempic and Wegovy. The suit was filed by Morgan & Morgan; Wagstaff & Cartmell; and Goza & Honnold. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 4:24-cv-00008, Linney v. Novo Nordisk A/s.
