UnitedHealth Group sued Lore Health and Sequelae Inc. on Dec. 28 in Minnesota District Court over alleged theft of trade secrets. The lawsuit, brought by Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath, contends that Ken Ehlert, the former chief scientific officer of United, and Mark Pollmann, the former chief technology officer of United affiliate Optum Labs, misappropriated confidential information by sending large numbers of United documents regarding its diabetes programs to a Lore Health employee. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 0:23-cv-03906, Unitedhealth Group, Inc. v. Lore Health LLC.
