West Pharmaceutical Services, a manufacturer of advanced packaging and containers for injectable drugs, was hit with an employment lawsuit on Nov. 3 in Michigan Western District Court. The suit was filed by the Avanti Law Group on behalf of a white male machine operator who was allegedly fired after arguing with a Black female co-worker about other employees' compliance with overtime rules. According to the complaint, the defendant received no discipline for the incident despite engaging in conduct similar to the plaintiff's. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant.
