Unum Life Insurance Co. of America was hit with an ERISA lawsuit on Sept. 20 in Connecticut District Court. The complaint, which arises from a disputed claim for long-term disability benefits, was brought by the Law Office of Ian O. Smith on behalf of Gina Guilmette. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 3:23-cv-01229, Guilmette v. Unum Life Insurance Company of America.
