Schneider Electric USA Inc., an energy management and industrial automation provider, was hit with a patent infringement lawsuit on Sept. 5 in Delaware District Court. The lawsuit, filed by Stamoulis & Weinblatt and Clayton, McKay & Bailey on behalf of Australia-based smart home software provider Portus Singapore Pte Ltd. and its subsidiary Portus Pty Ltd., asserts two patents related to remote access and monitoring of a premises. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 1:23-cv-00977, Portus Singapore Pte Ltd. v. Schneider Electric USA, Inc.
