Nationwide filed a complaint for declaratory relief centered on an alleged abduction on Aug. 31 in West Virginia Southern District Court. The case, filed by Flaherty Sensabaugh Bonasso in connection with an underlying negligence complaint, names Teddy D. Belcher Jr. and a woman who attests that she was drugged, kidnapped and sexually assaulted by a state trooper. The case is 2:23-cv-00588, Nationwide General Insurance Company v. Belcher.
