Viatris Inc. and its board of directors were hit with a shareholder derivative lawsuit on Aug. 28 in Pennsylvania Western District Court. The lawsuit, brought by the Law Office of Leon Aussprung and the Rosen Law Firm on behalf of Don Masters, accuses the defendants of reporting false information regarding the company's transition plans. According to the suit, the company failed to inform the financial markets that it intended to sell its biosimilars portfolio, thus decreasing the company's stock price by 24 percent. The case is 2:23-cv-01553, Masters v. Goettler.
