According to outgoing chancellor Marc Zucker, the Philadelphia Bar Association's membership jumped 12.5% in 2023 to reach its highest point since before the COVID-19 pandemic. The rapid growth is thanks to the association's new institutional partnerships with three Philadelphia public law offices, which Zucker said was one part of a broader rekindling of the association's role as a "convener of different constituencies" within the bar and the city as a whole.
