Liberty Mutual Insurance Group and Western Surety Co. have turned to attorney Benjamin L. Worley of Longleaf Law Partners to fend off a pending lawsuit for claims under the Miller Act, which protects subcontractors and suppliers on federal construction projects. The complaint, filed Dec. 30 in North Carolina Eastern District Court by Conner Gwyn Schenck on behalf of Onslow Grading and Paving, seeks over $595,000 for furnished labor, material and equipment. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge James C. Dever III, is 7:23-cv-01692, Onslow Grading and Paving, Inc. v. Ameresco, Inc. et al.
