Amazon.com was slapped with an employment discrimination lawsuit on Sept. 11 in Oklahoma District Court for Oklahoma County. The lawsuit was filed by Kent Eldridge PC on behalf of an employee who claims that she was wrongfully terminated while on workers' compensation benefits for a workplace-related injury. According to the suit, the plaintiff alleges that Amazon makes it impossible for employees to request a reinstatement of their employment by routing them to a foreign phone bank with attendants that do not speak English. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is CJ-2023-5181, Andrea Cooper v. Amazon.com Services, LLC.
