Attorneys at Gordon Rees Scully Maksukhani and Fox Rothschild on Thursday removed an employment discrimination lawsuit against Sutter Health and the Palo Alto Medical Foundation to California Northern District Court. The suit was filed by Lieff Cabraser Heimann & Bernstein on behalf of Dr. Omondi Nyong'o, a Black pediatric surgical ophthalmologist at Sutter. Nyong'o alleges that he has been subject to a pattern of racial discrimination, including unfair pay, biased reviews, racial harassment and unfair discipline. The case is 3:21-cv-06238, Nyong'o v. Sutter Health et al.
