Lewis Brisbois Bisgaard & Smith filed a trademark infringement and false advertising lawsuit Friday in Florida Middle District Court on behalf of vehicle warranty provider CarShield. The complaint accuses Protect My Car and other defendants of offering services that are misrepresented as warranties. Protect is also accused of using CarShield's trademarks without permission in advertisements and online. As well, CarShield accuses the defendants of violating the Telephone Consumer Protection Act by autodialing individuals on a 'do-not-call' list. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 8:21-cv-02539, NRRM, LLC d/b/a Carshield v. Advanced Marketing & Processing, Inc. et al.
