Construction and engineering company AECOM, Hunter Roberts Construction Group and Hill International were hit with a personal injury lawsuit on April 22 in New York Supreme Court for Queens County. The suit was brought by the Law Office of Michael Dreishpoon on behalf of Alexis Carter, an employee in the District Attorney's wing of the Queens County Criminal Court; according to the complaint, the defendants' installation of rooftop posts as part of a demolition project at the neighboring Queens House of Detention allowed rain to leak into the District Attorney's wing, causing the plaintiff to develop Legionnaires Disease.
