New Suit - Product Liability

Equipment manufacturer Johnson Controls, Center Sheet Metal and other defendants were hit with a product liability lawsuit on May 13 in New York Supreme Court for New York County. The suit, brought by the Sheps Law Group on behalf of Travelers Excess & Surplus Lines, pursues subrogation claims over fire damage allegedly caused by the negligent installation of a precipitator unit in a restaurant. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is Travelers Excess & Surplus Lines Inc. v. Center Sheet Metal Inc. et al.
