New Suit - Employment

Jennifer Shahade, a two-time National Women's Chess Champion and Woman Chess Grand Master, sued US Chess and President Randy Bauer on July 16 in New Jersey Superior Court for Monmouth County alleging that the organization tolerates sexual misconduct and punishes whistleblowers. Shahade, who is represented by Krenkel & Krenkel and Law Office of Linda Kenney Baden, claims she was targeted and subjected to professional retribution after going public with her claims of sexual abuse and assault. The suit alleges employer retaliation, sex discrimination, defamation, and RICO violations. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants.
