Raymond Lu of Covington & Burling has entered an appearance for Philips North America in a pending false advertising class action. The complaint, filed June 25 in California Northern District Court by the Clarkson Law Firm, accuses the defendant of deceptively marketing Philips Avent baby bottles, trainer cups and spout/sippy cups as being 'BPA Free' and safe for infants when the products allegedly contain harmful microplastics. The case, assigned to U.S. District Rita F. Lin, is 3:24-cv-03781, Miller et al v. Philips North America LLC.
