Airina L. Rodrigues and Andrea M. LaFrance of Brownstein Hyatt Farber Schreck have stepped in as defense counsel to data center operator Sharktech Inc. and its president Tim Mouhieddine Timrawi in a lawsuit alleging contributory copyright infringement. The case was filed May 7 in Colorado District Court by several motion picture copyright owners and contends that Sharktech enables the unlawful distribution of movies through peer-to-peer file sharing. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge S. Kato Crews, is 1:21-cv-01261, Millennium Funding, Inc. et al v. Sharktech, Inc. et al.
