Removed To Federal Court

Counsel at Kilpatrick Townsend & Stockton on Friday removed a privacy class action against Digital Recognition Network to California Southern District Court. The suit, filed by Edelson PC, accuses the defendant of amassing license plate data in violation of California's License Plate Recognition Law. According to the suit, DNR controls a fleet of vehicles equipped with high-speed cameras that capture images and employ automated license plate reader technology to provide customers with real-time vehicle location data. The case is 3:21-cv-01485, Mata v. Digital Recognition Network, Inc.
