A new study from Littler Mendelson has found that companies are pressing ahead with their efforts toward diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) measures despite a growing backlash against the programs. Of more than 320 senior executives surveyed, the vast majority say the Supreme Court's ruling, which struck down affirmative action in higher education amid pressure by conservatives, had not lessened their prioritization of DEI. As well, more than half of those surveyed reported that their organizations had expanded DEI commitments and activity over the past year. According to Littler office managing shareholder Jeanin Conley Daves, many companies have chosen to audit and assess their initiatives rather than get rid of them outright.
