Visa and an affiliate were hit with a patent infringement lawsuit Wednesday in Texas Western District Court. The court case, brought by Bragalone Olejko Saad on behalf of Liberty Peak Ventures LLC, asserts patents for technologies that facilitate mobile, contactless and online payments. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:23-cv-00716, Liberty Peak Ventures, LLC v. Visa Inc. et al.
