Kirkland & Ellis has hired Laura Vartain Horn, who most recently served as chief of the National Security and Cyber Section of the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of California, as a partner in its San Francisco intellectual property group, the firm announced Monday. In California's Northern District, where she worked for more than 11 years before stepping down two weeks ago, Horn led local and international cybersecurity prosecutions, including in IP.
