Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe and Lawyers for Civil Rights filed a civil rights lawsuit Wednesday in Massachusetts District Court on behalf of Donovan Johnson. The suit pursues claims against the Town of Arlington and two Arlington police officers for the unlawful stop, arrest and assault of the plaintiff. The complaint also accuses the defendants of failing to follow Arlington Police Department policies resulting in bias-based policing. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 1:22-cv-11242, Johnson v. Town of Arlington, Ma et al.
