Temple Health claims that a Philadelphia jury contradicted its own findings when it awarded $45 million against the hospital earlier this month. Temple University Hospital argued in an Aug. 15 post-trial motion that it should be granted judgment notwithstanding the verdict or a new trial because the jury's determination on negligence undermined the plaintiff's claims that the hospital's decisions led to his injuries.
