Wexford Health Sources, Dr. Abdur Nawoor and Dr. Rebecca Einwohner were hit with a wrongful death lawsuit on April 1 in Illinois Circuit Court for Will County. The court action, filed by Willkie Farr & Gallagher and Jenner & Block on behalf of Cynthia S. Dean and the estate of William Kent Dean, accuses the defendants of failing to timely diagnose the decedent's kidney cancer while he was an inmate at the Taylorville Correctional Center. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2024LA000276, Dean v. Wexford Health Sources, Inc.
