Volvo was slapped with a biometric privacy class action on March 19 in Illinois Circuit Court for Will County. The court case, brought by Loftus & Eisenberg, accuses the defendant of collecting and storing employees' fingerprints for timekeeping purposes in violation of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2024LA000233, Tilghman v. Volvo Group North America, Inc.
