Freedman Seating Co. was hit with a biometric privacy lawsuit on April 26 in Illinois Circuit Court for Cook County for claims under the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. The complaint, brought by DC Law on behalf of Anthony Benson and Ulysses Ballard, accuses the defendant of collecting and storing employees' fingerprint scans for timekeeping purposes without obtaining written consent.
