Trucking company DNJ Intermodal Services was hit with a biometric privacy class action on April 19 in Illinois Circuit Court for Cook County. The court case, filed by Beaumont LLC, accuses the defendant of illegally monitoring certain workers with biometric cameras that scan facial geometry. According to the suit, DNJ failed to obtain class members' consent and did not disclose retention guidelines to affected workers in violation of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2024CH03520, McDonald v. Dnj Intermodal Services.
