Benchmark Hospitality of Chicago was hit with a biometric privacy lawsuit on April 9 in Illinois Circuit Court for Cook County. The lawsuit was brought by Edelman, Combs, Latturner & Goodwin on behalf of an employee who accuses the defendant of collecting and storing his fingerprints for timekeeping purposes in violation of the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendant. The case is 2024L003836, Battles v. Benchmark Hospitality of Chicago.
