NASCAR, United Rentals and other defendants were hit with a wrongful death lawsuit on March 19 in Illinois Circuit Court for Cook County. The court action was filed by the Clifford Law Offices and the Law Offices of Daniel L. Clayton on behalf of the estate of an audio specialist who was electrocuted at a street race site. The complaint accuses the defendants of failing to adequately protect workers from energized power sources and inspect the premises which was wet from rain. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 2024L002986, Tabinski v. Nascar Holdings.
