Hinshaw & Culbertson is facing allegations of negligence following its work representing an insurer and a doctor in a malpractice suit. Dr. Anthony Battillo, a former chiropractor and the plaintiff in the negligence lawsuit, was sued in 2010 for malpractice. The malpractice suit claims that lawyers at Hinshaw & Culbertson were offered to settle for $1 million in 2014, but instead Battillo was hit with a judgment of more than $3 million about four years later.
