A defective gas stove in an Airbnb allegedly caused an explosion, according to a Connecticut lawsuit that said a renter was thrown across the room and sustained first-degree burns, which led to her death in the hospital. The plaintiff, Craig Robinson, in his individual capacity and as administrator of the estate of Debra Robinson, is the husband of the decedent and a Greenwich resident. The complaint, filed by Lawrence T. Somma of Somma Law, was brought against Airbnb Inc., Airbnb Payments Inc. and Donnet Roxanne Swaby, the owner of the Airbnb property, in Stamford Superior Court.
