Altria Group was hit with a derivative shareholder lawsuit Thursday in Virginia Eastern District Court over its investment in e-cigarette company JUUL Labs. The case, brought by Shuman, Glenn & Stecker and Kaskela Law, alleges that Altria and its officers misled the market about the regulatory risks when it acquired a 35 percent stake in the vaping company. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 3:20-cv-00772, Gilbert v. Gifford Jr. et al.
