Matt Hammel plans to retire in May as general counsel and executive vice president of Brown-Forman Corp., maker of Jack Daniel's whiskey and Woodford Reserve bourbon, after 16 years in the role. He will be succeeded by Mike Carr, a 10-year Brown-Forman veteran who's currently associate general counsel for regional and corporate development.
