William G. Porter II and Daniel E. Shuey of Vorys, Sater, Seymour and Pease have stepped in to defend Nationwide Children's Hospital and The Research Institute at Nationwide Children's Hospital in a pending breach-of-contract lawsuit. The complaint was filed June 22 in Ohio Southern District Court by Hahn Loeser & Parks and other counsel on behalf of the University of Wurzburg. The complaint accuses co-defendant Ohio State University (OSU) and other defendants of misappropriating genetically modified mice without authorization for commercial gain. OSU is represented by Ice Miller. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Sarah D. Morrison, is 2:22-cv-02580, Free State of Bavaria, represented by The University of Wurzburg v. The Ohio State University et al.
