A former clerk's office employee in the Southern District of New York was found guilty of bribery, conspiracy, and making false statements on Monday after a one-week trial at the White Plains federal courthouse. According to prosecutors, Dionisio Figueroa used his position in the SDNY Magistrate Clerk's Office to refer criminal defendants to an attorney, Ted Del Valle, in exchange for money. Del Valle had previously pled guilty to charges in connection with the scheme.
