Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan partners Michael B. Carlinsky and Renita N. Sharma have entered appearances for James River Group Holdings and other defendants in a pending securities lawsuit in connection with an agreement to acquire the equity of a Bermudian reinsurance company. The case was filed July 15 in New York Southern District Court by Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher on behalf of Fleming Intermediate Holdings. The action alleges that the agreement was filled with misrepresentations regarding the value of the reinsurance company in order to induce the plaintiff into purchasing it. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Jennifer L. Rochon, is 1:24-cv-05335, Fleming Intermediate Holdings LLC v. James River Group Holdings, Ltd. et al.
