Steven D. Feldman and Melissa L. Perry of Stradley Ronon Stevens & Young and Stradling Yocca Carlson & Rauth partners Jason de Bretteville and Marc J. Schneider have entered appearances for Coinmint, a cryptocurrency mining operation, and the company's General Counsel Randall Foret in a pending lawsuit alleging 'flagrant' breaches of legal duties. The complaint, filed Jan. 8 in California Northern District Court by Kobre & Kim on behalf of investor Jim DeNaut, arises from an underlying arbitration concerning a contract dispute between Coinmint and Katena Computing Technologies. DeNaut claims that the defendants induced him to act as a witness on behalf of Coinmint in the arbitration, establishing an attorney-client relationship, then 'radically reversed' their position and accused him of conspiring against Coinmint. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge James Donato, is 3:24-cv-00145, Denaut v. Alford et al.
