Penguin Random House announced that it has acquired independent publisher Hay House in a deal guided by Davis Polk & Wardwell. Financial terms were not disclosed. New York-based Penguin Random House was advised by a Davis Polk team that included partners Frank Azzopardi, Michael Davis and Ethan Goldman. Counsel information for Hay House, which is based in Carlsbad, California, was not immediately available.
