Latham & Watkins advised a Kuwait-based consortium led by Fahad Al Ghanim on the acquisition of Milton Keynes Dons Football Club (MK Dons) and Stadium MK Group from the former chairman and owner of the club, Pete Winkelman. Financial terms were not disclosed. The Latham team was led by partners Patrick Mitchell and Richard Butterwick. Fahad Al Ghanim was also advised by Middle East regional firm Meysan. Counsel information for Pete Winkelman and MK Dons was not immediately available.
