QBE Insurance filed a petition to compel arbitration against Walmart and Chubb subsidiaries Ace American Insurance, Federal Insurance and Westchester Fire Insurance on Friday in Delaware Court of Chancery. The suit, brought by Kennedys, arises from a dispute over which insurance company has an obligation to defend and indemnify Walmart in connection with thousands of opioid-related lawsuits. Counsel have not yet appeared for the respondents. The case is 2022-1165, QBE Insurance Corp. v. Walmart Inc. et al.
