Clear Blue Specialty Insurance Company sued beleaguered Ozy Media, CEO Carlos Watson and former COO Samir Rao Thursday in California Northern District Court to void a D&O insurance policy based on alleged misrepresentations in the company's application. The complaint, filed by Tressler, seeks a declaration that the policy is rescinded and that the insurer has no duty to defend or indemnify Ozy in legal actions stemming from reports that Rao impersonated a YouTube executive on a conference call with Goldman Sachs. Counsel have not yet appeared for the defendants. The case is 5:21-cv-08764, Clear Blue Specialty Insurance Company v. Ozy Media Inc. et al.
