Mayer Brown on Monday removed a product liability lawsuit against 3M, E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Co., the Chemours Co. and others to Illinois Central District Court. The suit was filed by Baron & Budd on behalf of City of Galesburg, who are seeking recovery of expenses related to the investigation, remediation, treatment, removal, disposal, and/or monitoring of the ongoing contamination of its water resources. The case is 4:21-cv-04094, City of Galesburg v. 3M Co.
