Perkins Coie partner Stephanie Regenold has entered an appearance for Carlos Braceras and Utah Department of Transportation in a pending environmental lawsuit. The case was filed Dec. 11 in Utah District Court by Eubanks & Associates and the Ban Law Offices on behalf of Citizens Committee to Save our Canyons. The suit arises from the defendant's decision to authorize a gondola project. According to the complaint, the decision violated the National Environmental Policy Act by failing to consider a reasonable range of alternatives and by applying the alternatives screening criteria in an inconsistent and arbitrary manner. The case, assigned to U.S. District Judge Dustin B. Pead, is 2:23-cv-00894, Citizens Committee To Save Our Canyons v. Braceras et al.
